Southern Red Oak growth rate? I found a Southern Red Oak sapling growing in my courtyard....
I found a Southern Red Oak sapling growing in my courtyard. The sapling is approx. 7-9" tall. What is the growth rate per year for this tree? I know it have a moderate growth rate, but what does that mean within terms of annual growth?
Answers: They pinch a LOOOOOOONG time to grow. The reason I know? When I be born, my parents planted two. I'm 53 now, and I can still put my arms almost adjectives the way around them :-)
