i was using my weedeater, a stihl fs45, when the cutting principal fell off and a long metal cord came out of the drive tube...

what happen and how do i solve it Aside from taking it to a store, i want to solve this one myself.

Answers:    This is easy. The metal cord is the driveshaft. Probably square ends. Stick it back contained by, and try to get it to seat within the square socket near the engine (you can't see it, but you should be able to touch if it has seated. Then, reattach the cutter head. From the engine out, these machines are pretty simple.

If you can't get it to seat practical the engine, the tubular shaft can be easily removed from the engine unit, allowing you to form the driveshaft.
