mine grow surrounded by 8.2 but would do better if it was around 7. a fitting way to drop ph is if you own access to pine needles to use as a mulch. my biggest problem is zone, im i 3/4 and would do much better in 5
they close to it a bit on the acidic side. I'd vote as long as you're not over 7.0, you'll be fine. They'd probably really like 6.0-6.5, but will tolerate more or smaller amount than that.
