Shrub/tree sound out for AZ weather? i live in phoenix, AZ. thoroughly hot (115 degree plus summers)...

i live in phoenix, AZ. thoroughly hot (115 degree plus summers) and terribly dry. i'm looking for a shrub/ very small tree that have red leaves. i mean bright red. it will be contained by full sun, and can't get over 8' elevated. we have irrigated lots. even if it's a small shrub of going on for 3' of height. any takers?
