?should I mow my own grass?

I want to save some money and I'm wondering if I mow my own lawn would I know how to save money?

I pay $60 a month right immediately.

I wonder what would be the advantage to doing it myself?

I would have to buy my own mower and how much gas would it use?
chomp through the grass depends on the size
I mow my courtyard once per week so thats about $15 per week. You must have a small patio. I'd pick up a good used mower for less than $100.00 and mow it yourself. You could own it done in less than partially an hour. No big deal. The only means of access I wouldn't suggest mowing it yourself is if you have a full schedule and your productive time is paying you far more than the time you pinch mowing your lawn. I'm a do-it-yourselfer. Well $60. isn't much if they mow once a week and your yard is a descent size.
As far as you doing it yourself, nearby are benefits, health wise, and doing extras that landscapers don't do & abiding money after you buy a lawnmower. It doesn't take that much gas to mow a normal patio.
But it's really all about your time, do you hold the time?
$60. is cheap, I can spend that at the dollar store on stuff I really don't even need, w/o noticing it surrounded by my budget!
youd collect money
whenever isnt doing something yourself cheaper? Go ahead mow your own lawn instead of paying 60 bucks!
I pay $40 a month and they take perfectionism of everything ,mowing the lawn ,getting rid of weeds and rake .It is OK for me because I don't have the time to do it yes you will be able to liberate money actually that's a lot of month..mowers don't clutch a lot of gas!..but with the gas prices rising it's a upright idea to spend the rest on some gas for your car :]
Answers:    If they are mowing weekly, $60 is cheap no situation how big your yard is. Even if they come every two weeks, that's not expensive.

If you really want to do it yourself, go for it. But don't forget that you entail to make sure you have satisfactory time to do the work. It's good exercise too.

The cost of gas shouldn't be an issue as lawn equipment doesn't use that much fuel, but you're going to hold to buy more than just a mower for a good position. At a minimum you'll also need a string trimmer to get where on earth the mower can't reach. You may also want a blower for cleaning up, and possibly an edger if you have lots of sidewalk to do. You'll also necessitate all of the things to keep your equipment going - gas can, engine oil, 2 cycle oil, trimmer rank, mower and edger blades, etc. You might want to check the cost factor versus what you are paying now.

Also consider that if you buy cheap equipment, it won't last drastically long and you'll be spending more on repairs or new equipment.

If your yard is really small you could other buy a reel push mower, a set of grass shears and a broom and you'll be covered for a minimum investment. It will take longer and be harder work, but if you hold the time to spend, why not?

Buying all the equipment may be more expensive at first, but in the long run, you'll probably be abiding money doing it yourself as long as you are able and have the time to spend.
$60 a month is a rip off, i enjoy people come to my door offering $25 front and back You should mow your own meadow...it's good excersize, and It will def. save money..
The advantage is saving money and getting a touch excercise.

You can find a decent mower for around 150 - 200. That is only 3 or 4 months of paying someone else to do it.

A mower does not use much gas at adjectives. Some use a oil/gas mix.

Get ta mowin'!
don't be lazy. -.- you know my answer
