I am trying to grow Bermuda grass seed in my patio. I started it a month ago and am only seeing small patches. I followed directions from the pouch but I had figured it would be growing within fairly fully by now. Is this commonplace if not is there something that I could do to backing it grow denser?
Answers: Drop some more seed. And you have to hose it twice a day until it fully germinates. It can hold 10 days before it does this.
Alternatively, I have tried this and it works. Soak a container of seed in river for 3 days. Then drain it dry and lay it out in a flat pan to dry. YOu can move it in the sun for a day. Then spread it and river it as usual. It should germinate in 2 or 3 days.
For best results, keep grass core damp at all times until it sprouts and become well-established.
