ok basically i hold to teach a lesson on nymph tales for college, im doing jack and the bean stalk, so thought ego get the class to grow some "magic" beans.
do runner beans grow the fastest?
how big do they grow?

Answers:    runner beans will grow as high as you permit them, but to get the most beans sour the plant then "nip" the growing tip out at almost 6ft. after the first flowers that will start from the bottom of the plant
this encourages the plant to produce more flowers hence more beans.
if you put surrounded by 6ft, 8ft, 10ft canes the plant will grow to this increase and then decline back on itself because of the shipment of the top.
planted in may from seed you will pick beans in approx 10 weeks if you dampen correctly.
beans are thirsty buggers
once the first flowers form give them a fluid feed, ie. questionable tomato feed every 4 to 5 days
