I have about 8-10 redwoods of multiple varities growing and they are freshly sprouted. They are perchance an inch tall. Two of the Redwoods (Coast) I am growing in those pop up peat pots. The roots are starting to come through and I surmise it is time to repot. What kind of soil should I put the redwoods in? I know it is caustic, but do they sell that at Lowes? That is the only place around me beside garden stuff. Help me with what to do please.
Answers:    Slightly alkaline to acidic soils of a variety of textures

Moisture:
Redwood seedlings necessitate irrigation or constant rain to survive, but after they become established can grow with little contemplation. These grow best in areas where it is cool and raining cats and dogs and the summer is warm and dry.
I just planted ten trees within small regular clay pots. I used Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting mix and the trees have already sprouted little leaves! Good Luck!
