One day my hubby brought home a biddable sized wooden crate that is approximately 4' x 8' and is in the order of 2' tall. It's made of 4 x 4's and jot board for the sides and bottom and I was wondering.do you suppose I could use this to make a raise bed garden? Would I have to remove the bottom sheet of molecule board or could I just drill holes within it for drainage?
Any help would be appreciated...Thanx!

One of the problems you might encounter is the molecule board. Most wooden raised bed are made out of pressure treated lumber. The particle board may rot out over time. If this is a one time raise bed, I would recommend you could use the crate. Drill holes in the bottom for proper drainage our bear the bottom out completely. We have done a wooden raise bed before, but used pressure treated lumber.
Make sure you use fitting quality soil to steep your bed. A light freight potting soil is the best for a raised bed. You can finish the raise bed with tallying some mulch or decorative stone around your plants. I hope this help some and good luck to you. I will interconnect you to the site map of my website. I would leave it, and drill profoundly of holes in it as you suggested, the wood will be transformed contained by humus is about two years. I required to do the same as you, but I enjoy no crate so i'll have to find something else to receive my raised garden bed.
