"Sand fleas" We own them contained by our underground room.we've exterminated 4 times and they won't step away? HELP!
idk sorry kid
With fleas, you always own to treat the area multiple times. Sometimes it is necessary to nickname a professional in. My neighbor had this problem surrounded by his yard because of a stray that showed up and after treating it 3 times, he called contained by some help. To get rid of them you're going to own to treat everything inside and out, bathe any pets, launder any soft materials. "theslugc..." has the right concept!! Follow her advise. Salt sprinkled and raked within a carpet or rug after vacuuming keeps pet fleas contained by check. I am not sure how it works other than maybe when they ingest the saline their body mass is so slight that they die from dehydration.
Salt is inexpensive so sprinkle away as "theslugc..." suggests!
P.S. Salt permanently kills shrubbery and can make your ground sterile. So don't flush it out or sweep it out into your yard when the fleas are gone. I infer when it appears that the fleas are gone in your basement, you can sweep it up to take rid of the debris and then sprinkle a modern layer of salt on the floor and hand down it there for flea free assurance.
P.S. July18, 2008------I feel a bit dumb! What type of sand do the fleas live contained by? If river or lake or pond or any other sand that is not from brackish water sources the salt will probably work. But, if they are from a saltwater source they would probably own a party and invite all their friends and realitives over! So sorry I did not reckon of this at the time of givig an answer!!

It's a sure cure. It's non-toxic to people and pets, but will age the flea to death in 72 hours and stops eggs from hatching, so the cycle stops cold. You spray the cracks and crevices of your home for $15 bottle covers est.1000sq/ft and protects for about 9 months to a year. This product REALLY works and doesn't hurt our or our pets central nervous systems within the process.
You can get it at the SPCA.
Get rid of the sand have you tried mothballs nil likes those nasty things
We poured bleach down all the open floor drains, satisfactory to fill up the traps, and that worked for us. If you had your home professionally exterminated and they are still at hand, they must be nesting off site and migrating into the house. Check outside around the perimeter for breeding grounds. Things close to standing water, compost piles, open trash containers. They may be moving to another location when you treat the subterranean vault and then returning. You need to treat a larger nouns.
After the adult population is killed, attack the just now hatched eggs in a week to ten days.
