Was a glorious plant when I received it for Christmas. Re-potted it about a month ago; and probably over watered it: begin to look as if it be at death's door.
Cut all stems back to in the region of 4-5 inches; has been surrounded by bedroom closet(no direct sun)with door open about an inch, for nouns circulation.
Specifics of my locale: live in Nevada-living room/kitchen face due west, and receive blistering afternoon sunlight; enormously arid here, little precipitation; relatively cool nights.
I had it sitting up to that time, right under my only living room lighting, up against the south wall, on a bookcase about 3 ft. tall. Can replace it at hand, or maybe place atop the air-conditioner outside(it inserts into the wall).
What should I do? The soil seems fairly dry now; but there are no different sprouts of any kind: they all look suitable and green.
Can't think of any other pertinent data to supply. Recommendations? Thanaks,
Alberich

Here you go...
Poinsettias should be kept in a powerfully lit room away from draughts. If placed on a window ledge it should be brought into the room within the evening when the curtain are closed to prevent it from getting draught or suffering from damping off due condensation on the window forming a micro-climate between the curtains and windows .
The poinsettia should, if it is in a drastically dry area, be placed on a saucer filled near gravel and water to make a humid atmosphere around the plant. It can be spayed next to a fine mist of water. If the plant is left to progress slightly dryer than usual, then it can be placed in a sink next to about 3 inches of water so that the roots can soak up the dampen and the whole root ball is evenly soaked. If watered from the top after the water may run right through the pot, as the pot is full of a mass of roots .
If any leaves get tattered etc. they should be removed immediately to prevent any more disease or damage to the plant.
And the plant should be turned on a day by day basis so it doesnĄ¯t grow or lean towards the light and become leggy explicitly important for most house plants.
Once the poinsettia has finished flowering, it requirements the following treatment to keep it flourishing, First it needs re potting, contained by a plant pot one or two sizes bigger, so that it can produce new root growth enabling it to rob up water and food. The plant needs a feathery pruning to encourage new growth. It can be placed outside during the summer months. From September on, as the plant is producing bracts (the leaves that will eventually turn red) it requests to be placed in a dark room for in the region of 10 hrs per day for about 4-5 weeks to awaken the bracts to turn red. Without the dark period the bracts wont turn the traditional red color.
plant it outside surrounded by a MOSTLY shady spot and forget about it ,,in a month or so it will remind you of its presence. Wow...this make you confused more, but right now I have my Poinsettia by the pane, away from the direct sunlight! It is doing good and I see lots of new leaves growing. I've hear that you should keep this in the pot, since this is complicated to grow outside(I live in Pacific NW), and put the pot in the brightest shady and heat place in the house. I only sea it when the surface of the soil gets dry. Leaves are still red and some green. I am doing this because Cisco Morris(He is a famous gardener around here.) said it and it's working so far. The push button is to place this in the brightest shade, if you know what I mean... Good luck!
