I am almost positive now that I enjoy a cross with a Zucchini and a sweet pumpkin. The fruit looks the exact size and shape as a sugar pumpkin... but is a reflective green color. The plant itself has equal shape leaves and spiny quality as final season's zucchini. But is spreading like a pumpkin vine. Has anyone have a similar cross and if so, what does it taste close to?
thanks.
Sounds resembling acron squash. They do not typically interbreed.

You do hold a cross as most sweet pumpkins are the same genus and species as zucchini, c. Pepo.

try adjectives a squash when it is green and eat some, it will plausible be tasty though nearby is some chance it will be woody and bland. If it taste good contained by the green stage (which is when most folks pick zucchini, most of which ripen a nice orange color) it probably will be dutiful if you let it ripen adjectives the way.

My husband loves to permit the squashes cross and we often carry fantastic fruit, though not always.
Answers:    If it's a volunteer from final year, you probably do have a cross...I've have crosses from almost every kind of squash I've ever grown and some be pretty interesting! Chance are, if it's got ashen (or light) flesh, it will taste more close to a zuccinni; if it has the more ginger flesh, it will be more like a pumpkin. The more red fleshed ones will keep longer than the yellower flesh ones. Good luck and Enjoy!
