Proper paper for flower bulbs? I need to mail some tiger lily bulbs from MO to TX....

I need to mail some tiger lily bulbs from MO to TX. How should I packet them so I don't damage or kill them? They are dormant right very soon. Thanks!

Answers:    Use a small, sturdy cardboard box. Add and inch or so of dried peat moss or cellulose, and add the bulbs one by one, spaced out in layer, covering each with optional peat or cellulose. Fill the box completely and that will hold the bulbs securely.

Do not use a plastic bag as this may rationale the bulbs to compost!
