We have a mole problem within our backyard. We take plentifully of pride in our patio and loads of effort, time, and money enjoy gone into keeping it beautiful. Within the recent past few year, these moles have be digging tunnels all throughout. I'm pretty sure they're destroying the soil, also. None of our plants seem to be to be as healthy as they used to be. How can we save them out of our yard?
I've get dogs, so I don't want to use any chemicals that would hurt them. If there be any on the market that would target just moles, that would be great. We've tried traps, but they can't control them. I need to maintain them from getting into the yard contained by the first place.

Thanks so much!
If you want the most colloquial way, try flooding them out - stick a hose into one of the mole hill and turn up the water full blast until you flood adjectives the tunnels.

Good luck, they are persistent pests. I have moles at one time and I was reduced to stabbing the tunnels near a big barbecue fork wherever I could see them moving...that solely succeeded in making me look approaching a fool in front of my neighbors and giving me a in one piece new perspective when I study Caddyshack. I never succeeded in getting rid of them myself, I needed a cold winter and later they didn't return.
Try planting Euphorbia lathyris ~
This is a rather nice looking perennial beside slender stacked leaves and greenish-yellow blooms. Commonly referred to as Gopher Spurge or Mole Spurge, it has be known to discourage mole encroachment.

Also, you might try rolling a few moth ball down every mole hole you can find on a regular basis ~ hold doing that every week and they will pack up and move on!
Answers:    When we were young at heart my grandmother always have a garden. Whenever she had a mole problem she would mix up her "critter spray" She took roughly 10 or 12 jalapeno peppers and blended them appropriate in the blender. Then she mixed that beside about a gallon of hose down in a sprayer. Finally she would squirt some sunup dishwashing liquid contained by. She would spray this in adjectives the holes she saw and also on the garden plants to keep the rabbits and snails from intake them. Anyway this is cheap and its worth giving it a shot! Good luck.
I believe I have discovered an awesome mole slaughterer. I too have tried lots things, juicy fruit, poison pellets/peanuts, traps, water/flooding, even smoke bombs and zilch worked. I've had this damn mole running around my patio for 2 years. Then a light bulb go off within my head. Peanut Butter. The strong scent attract rodents big time. Never touch the bait your going to impart the mole as they can smell the human scent. What you need to do is step buy some poison peanuts/pellets, the ones in the pallid cone. You can get them anywhere, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc. Dump out a small handful onto a frozen surface and crush them up with a tack hammer, into a powder. Then take a big spoonful of peanut butter and mix it together so the powder is mixed contained by with the peanut butter. Find at most minuscule 3 or 4 active spots/tunnels and use something close to a dandelion remover tool to lower the bait into their tunnel and gently cover up the hole. I did this around a week ago and there have been no signs of mole hobby since then. Give it a shot and spread the word. I would not recommend this if you estimate your dogs are going to dig up the peanut butter.
