I had excessive thatch, and used a power dethatcher to remove it. Must enjoy been too aggressive: immediately there are significant areas of dead, pallid grass. Does this make sense? I'm not sure around reseeding since I still see thatch. Help!!
Answers: you need to fertilize it. and contained by the future aerate next to a good piston driven contrivance instead of de thatch. Aerating will reduce that but won't exact the same gentle of damage to the grass.
to answer your question its hard to recount without looking at your pasture but i have found out most general public go to slow next to a power rake and it takes to much thatch out and contained by turn stresses the lawn out. A angelic fertilize and a good watering should oblige. The purpose of power raking is to procure rid of the thatch in the sward the builds up over time and in turn you will enjoy a better and thicker lawn and aeration help break down hard soil and allows for better drainage power rake and aeration are two different things hope that helps some
