i have going on for 9 weeks and 2 days for a tomato plant to grow. Will this be enough time? About how long will it grow?
Answers: Make sure you receive a plant that's already well on its bearing - preferably one that's already got a few buds/flowers. Check the sticky label to see how many "days to maturity" - the shortest one I know of is Early Girl, it take about 52 days to readiness. Fertilize it well, label sure it gets plenty of dampen (but not too much - too much or too little can cause blossom extension rot....). Check with your local Ag Extension Agent of Master Gardener program for detailed warning - they love to help near stuff like this.

As for watering, it should get hold of at least 1" a week - think twice if it's in a container though, so you don't overwater and explanation rot. The easiest way to check is the "knuckle test" - shove a finger into the soil to the second knuckle - if it's damp at your fingertip then don't hose down. http://ezinearticles.com/?Tomato-Plant-C...
