Other mulch? I don't really like the look of yap in my flower...

I don't really like the look of yap in my flower garden and it is messy. Are nearby other things I can use for mulch?
Answers:    Pea gravel is a good looking odds. I use it in my front courtyard under the street tree, a magnolia. I would skip the plastic weed chain and use at least 3-4 inches of gravel. Weeds are few and those that show are glib to pull since they don't root resourcefully in the gravel.
gravel---white , brown, or adjectives sort s of colors,,,but first put down a weed and grass barrier,,,after pile bout 4 to 6 inches of the gravel on it,,,do this no matter what mulch you use,,,also verbs pine straw,,, if there s a fruit farm or horse stables close by,,,you can use hay,,,,just formulate sure it cured and not green,,,i think they put together some mulch outta of recycled 2 liter drink bottles,,might ask around and see,,, go to a garden center... or phone them ... and see what they have to proposition...not just one but several.. hey no offense...but do you realize how long it would clutch to save up adequate coffee grounds ,,, or pecan ,,,,walnut ,,,,or any kind of nut shell . to mulch a flower garden,,,, and also if you dont live close to where on earth there are some buck wheat hulls ,, how are you gonna git em..
