I have some naked patches contained by my lawn. Although it is December, would it be beneficial to put down some grass core now, of late sprinkling it on the surface, not raking it within. Or would I just be wasting my money?
Answers: We enjoy broadcast seed and fertilizer on snow and have good luck, nut will remain dormant until spring then should germinate....

You can put grass kernel down in Decmember. The fundamental question is your ground frozen? If your ground freezes throughout the winter months, you might want to consider waiting until spring. You could erate your meadow, seed and fertilize it.
If your ground isn't frozen however or doesn't freeze, go ahead and put some kernel down with some six month slow nitrogen release fertilizer.
