I've just decorated my front porch and put a small table surrounded by there, i was going to buy flowers to put on it, but i'd own to keep replacing them, so now i want tobuy a plant, but i want something to be exact pretty and that will be interesting all year round. Something that isn't going to grow massive. Any ideas
I would go for a peace lilly. They hold lovely foliage and produce pretty white flowers. They are also very easy to look after. Cyclamen, don't mind the shade or self cold.various colours, easy conservation, water once a week. Plus they live for years.
orchids are cool but unbelievably picky about everything. Peace lily can grow quite soaring over 5 feet. African Violets are great but still picky (if you get river on their leaves they will die) there are mini av also.Rex begonia is a good choice slow growing, resembling filtered light, flower once a year, hold amazing foliage the rest of the year. a dish garden of small cacti would be nice also don't overwater, sempervivum and echeveria. Angel plants are awesome but often mislabeled and can be quite ample. Any plant that is cared for properly can return with to be a large size and most can be held in check by pruning. another really devout choice impatiens which can be kept year around after years can get large though same next to geraniums. birdsnest sanserveria would be another good choice I would do the birdsnest sans in a low dish next to a candle holder in the center of the dish then the birdsnest sans adjectives around it you can even go as far as putting small fake birds from the craft dept into the center of respectively of the sans. you can also try a dish of water and rocks and small pieces of lucky bamboo If none of these concept help email me I can go on forever near ideas Peace lilies are lovely, they come up with nice lush green leaves and for most of the year youw in poor health have lovely white leafy looking flowers... it is a very wonderful plant

you need to only dampen them once every 2-3 days and check that the top soil is moist, add some compost / plant food once every 2 months or so and it will look lovely there.

for spring colours you can achieve geraniums - they give nice contrast colours of flowers and leaves, and come in a big mixed bag,

but my favourite one has to be a plant call Flaming Katy - you get different colours red / white / yellow - and the flowers grow adjectives year round in nice small bunches... and look gorgeous !! as with adjectives plants you will hve to remove any dead flowers and brown leaves, you can buy it from sainsburys ! heres a picture!

remember one thing though - some house plants dont resembling direct sunlight so read the labels and buy those that suit the place where you are going to put it.

hope this have helped you select
Answers:    Best to stir look at the garden center. They can let you know what will do well surrounded by the situation the plant will be in. & you can see the plants to know if you will like them.
look for angel plants. there's a lot of variety of them at wal-mart or home depot. i just got one that the leaves are pink. and they are incredibly easy to care for. low-medium street light and plenty of water. :) I don't know very much more or less "indoor" plants but if I were going to buy one, I'd get an Orchid. They are supposed to be comfortable to take care of and are pretty!

Or maybe an African Violet?
i recomend only rose plant Apple tree or cactus
Yukka tree or dragon tree

I've got one of respectively - buy them small and they take years to grow big
My experience of houseplants is 'they get dusty'. Unless you hold the time to clean the leaves on a regular basis, I'd stick to flowers, or possibly an artificial foliage plant you can hose down now and again, some of them are quite energy like. You also won't have to verbs about the temperature and the insubstantial. I would recommend a Peace Lily or its long name is Spathiphyllum. They don't flower all of the time but when they do they look lovely and they are a pretty plant even in need flowers.

A money plant or yucca are relatively nice...
