Nesting Box For Robins? Hello, we would like to put up Nesting Boxes for some...

Hello, we would like to put up Nesting Boxes for some robins that come to our garden, not solitary because we LUV them but its also to try and protect them from the ******* Magpies that seem to hold taken over the neighbourhood. the ones that we hold seen contained by Homebase state that they should be put in dense foliage, but we simply have a few sparse trees contained by our garden. Pretty please does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can protect our tiny friends from these feathered hooligans. Thanks contained by advance for any replies.
Answers:    If you own a shed and space between two paint cans, the robins will nest here. Leave the window unfurl a fraction, they'll find their way surrounded by. Don't change the outside of the shed surrounded by any way, (don't verbs up what was in attendance before), because they use things to identify where they live.

An out-of-date teapot, on it's side in a dissemble (to stop water getting in), is another point they'll nest in.

I can't assume of anything else Sorry.

Dogs and Cats do not even alarm the magpies away, they is why they need plenaty of trees. The holes inevitability to be big enough for them to bring into, but then so will the sparrows.
