I reside in Pittsburgh, PA. Over the last weekend we have some pretty bad storms. As a result one of my next door neighbor's trees fell and is currently resting on slice of my house and on some of my trees. I've met my neighbor a few times and he is a really nice guy but he is in the army reserves and therefor is not home much and does not upkeep his lawn and trees powerfully,...actually not at all. In days gone by I have already trimmed some of his trees that were growing onto my property can cause a nusance. The tree that just fell has not tatty my home but it is resting against my porch and in time will start to kill adjectives my trees that it is resting on. He is not home enough for me to run into him to tell him something like it nor do I have or can a get a phone number to move out him a message in regards. I'd carry rid of the tree myself and just drag it inot his yard but it is fairly big nor do I have the time nor feel close to I should have to take support of it. I ask all of you...what can I do?
See if conceivably you can get some of your neighbor's to help, if you let somebody know them whats going on
I would also contact my homeowners insurance. They should send someone out to take a look and assess the damages and the cost to remove the tree.
Yes, it's his tree and he is responsible, but lower than the circumstances, it is understandable that he is not available to handle the situation himself. If he is contained by the reserves and overseas, you should file the claim and let your insurance company concordat with it. Once he is back home, and can contact his homeowners insurance, I'm sure his homeowners insurance will settle up next to yours. I would have to say you are going to enjoy to take care of the element that is in your patio unless he is going to be home sometime soon (which is not the case from what you say). If you don't mind the tree in your courtyard, on your house, then wait for him but I would transport the initiative to get it out of my yard.
Answers: If your home insurer won't take carefulness of it then it's up to you unless you want further problems. Deal it it now and it won't be looming over you and cause you any further distress. Your insurance company could pursue the neighbour/his insurers.
