I am kinda getting addicted to my container garden, (its so much fun!) I want to plant one more veggie, I already own a beefsteak tomato plant, a jalapeno pepper plant, 2 different types of mint, AND a "strawberry pot" (one of those urn type pots with cups cut out of the sides of it) full of strawberrys. I want to plant another veggie but am not sure what else will work surrounded by a container. Thanx in mortgage for any 'ideers' you give me! :D
I've grown salad gardens contained by a container and bush pickles. Tomato's and beans work great , I heard melons and squash hold too big of roots to plant in a container

You can plant about 4 bush beans surrounded by a pot. Or about a dozen onion sets. Or partially a dozen lettuce plants, or 4-6 celery plants, radishes, dill, basil, parsley or any other herbs, a quad cucumber plant (it will need staking next to a bit of wire fencing).
And you can also plant some foodie carrots (the short kind).
Just remember to watered-down those, so they don't get crowded.
Happy Container-Gardening!
Answers:    The first suggestion of squash or zucchini should be followed beside a warning to be precise spreads and takes allot of room. Same near melons so I wouldn't recommend those. The banana peppers are a flawless idea. I grew cucumber contained by a pot before and although it also spreads I have a trellis that worked out pretty well. Spinach is a appropriate easy plant and will step great with your garden to own a salad all right within!. Glad you are getting addicted it is so fun!
