Hi, not really sure about taking cuttings. Have cut off some stems, dipped them contained by rooting powder and potted them...but they've all died.

Any help you can tender would be fab. The original clematis in the garden is amazingly healthy, so want to grow from here rather than buy another one.
Answers:    Try this relationship for a 'how to' guide. Sounds like you did roughly the right thing but contained by hot weather the cuttings need to be kept humid (cover with a plastic bag) while the roots establish. Some bottom roast helps, and keep them contained by a bright position but out of direct sunlight if possible. Good luck :-)
They aren't easy. And unlike other plants, you mustn't cut close a node but halfway in between fern nodes. I would take loads and try them in different conditions if I be you
