Well it was like a cm just about the dirt, its in a large pot presently. It didnt break totaly in half but it is tied up on a stick to support it. Also put dirt a short time higher. It happened yesterday but it still seem healthy..
My tomato plant was hit by a basketball this year. It be about a foot high and it broke surrounded by half. I took care of it resembling regular and now it is growing out of control. So I can attest to the reality that it will continue to grow as long as you give it plenty of sea each day. I sea once a day in the morning. About 3 Times a week I distribute my plants a shot of Miracle Gro while I water. You will need a tomato round up to help it stand up.
With a little love your plant should bless you near some juicy red delicious fruit. Happy Growing! Have fun! The dirt added will minister to as the stake solves its immediate problem. Tomatoes are one of the few plants whose stems will turn to roots .It may show some stress while recovering, but it should be fine in the long run.
It will be ok. If the stem broke completly off, fresh stems will branch out anyway. The energy used to grow the whole plant will be used to trademark more of the plant and keep it alive. If you havent begun to sprout tomatoes or even blooms all the same, I would go ahead and just go and get rid of the top part of the stem or put the part that broke stale in water and move outside until it grow roots and replant it soil, then you will have two tomatoe plants.

You can hack a plant down to almost a partially an inch above soil, sometimes less, and it will grow back, sometimes even more glowing and beautiful.
Answers:    It will if it has a branch or branches growing on it beside leaves it probably will. A tomato plant relies heavily on converting chlorophyll to energy. It uses its leaves to do this. So if there are no leaves gone the chances of it surviving is next to zilch. You can add its chances of survival 10 percent next to about every 3 leaves its has. But similar to I said no leaves means throw it on the compost pile.
I don't guess it will survive. One of mine broke at the top and the next day that portion was shriveled and dead.
