My Rosemary Bush is looking poorly maintained (uk)? its getting quite gawky and really could do with what I'd...

its getting quite gawky and really could do with what I'd phone up a damn good crop support... its flowered already this year, will it sustain a good crop pay for and will it sprout again this year doyou think?
I have have several over the years and they do outgrow the small bush shape. It almost becomes a tree. When it is at the stage where on earth it has like mad of woody growth below the leaf/flower area, after it needs digging up and start again beside a small one. If you cut it back too frozen, the old woody bits will not sprout again. It's a bit approaching lavender. You can cut it back, but solitary so far.
Sorry.

I've cut mine relentlessly back slightly a few times, and they're usually fine, and resprout quite swiftly afterwards. I don't know how tall yours is, they can grow to 5 or 6 foot in echelon, and I wouldn't go from 5 foot to 6 inches in one dance, though they might be fine - if it was that drastic, I'd cut contained by stages, some now, and some subsequent spring after flowering. Harsh pruning is usually a good route to keep plants contained by good vigor though. Last year's pruning have plants that are fine this year, and don't need it.

They're relatively easy from cuttings, so it's worth keeping some of your trimmed textile and getting them to root - this way, if you don't resembling the results etc, you've got fresh plants coming along. Use a mix of sand and compost, preferably near some hormone rooting solution/powder, to encourage rooting.

Hope this help. Good luck! Rob
