Answers:    Get a couple of wood splints-like a couple of popsicle sticks.Put the sticks in pot close to fundamental stem,wrap sellotape around sticks,but not touching your orchid.With luck the broken stem will repair itself.

i would keep treating it as usual .and put your efforts surrounded by cutting the broken off piece and putting it within water until you ca get some ROOTONE ,after you will probably have two of them.
