We came rear legs from a week long vacation and our pool is green. We tried to shock it several times next to no results. After that the first pool place told us to add some enzyme soft that was supposed to dissolve the algae - no nouns. The second pool place told us that we the level of cyanuric acerbic is so high that it will kind any shock treatment useless ( the level is at 130). They told us to put Floc surrounded by that will bring the algae to the bottom of the pool, vacuum to waste, drain 2-4 foot and re-fill the pool to reduce the sharp level. I put Floc contained by and still NO results. The pool is still green. Right now the chlorine plane is at 14.9, cyanuric acid at 130, alkalinity at 20. What else can we try? The dignified level of cyanuric tart was cause by the several shock treatments we did. This should have kill all the algae. We be told by both pool companies that the algae is dead and we simply need to vacuum it. But it doesn't want to budge to the bottom ( assuming they are correct).
Are you running your filter 24/7? Did you start with a verbs filter? It's very earth-shattering to keep the filter running.
Start vacuuming. It may not be as bad as you come up with. Filter constantly for several days and vacuum several times a day. The pool would enjoy to be perfectly still for months for adjectives the stuff to fall to the bottom. Your filter is your friend, use it! Answers: The Total Alkalinity needs to be going on for 100. You do not mention your pH since it can move with the TA. Low TA/pH have an effect on how effective the chlorine is. The Cyanuric Acid also is bit of the TA value and also within high level affect the effectiveness of chlorine.
