If there is vegetative growth but the fruit is small I can single think of one reason: the fruit is crowded out and can't grow any bigger unless you tinny the young fruit early on.
It's too unpunctually this season to "thin out" your fruit as peaches, depending on location, peak between very soon and late August.
Some varieties "self-abort" their excess fruit but not adjectives trees do that. (Apples don't).
Next year fertlize and prune your fruit trees in early March.
Answers: The key to full-size fruit is to thin the crop to about one every 6 inches apart. You can verbs them off or hit the tree with a stick if they are really gluey. I hit the tree and follow up with hand thinning most of the time.
If you prune the tree when it's dormant it will abet reduce the size of the crop too.
The fruit will swell a lot contained by the last week before it get ripe too. Make sure it has water consequently.
Some trees have larger peaches too. The early ones tend to be small and split pits are adjectives because they grow so fast.
