Blue smoke is oil. If you own to mix your gas and oil (2cycle) You put to much oil contained by the mixture. If it isn't a 2 cycle its time to retire it and get yourself a nice new self propelled model.

i'm guessing your mower is a 2 stroke and it will most probable be the " mix " in other words to much oil to petrol .
if it's not that after i guess maybe a fuel filter .
