I once heard if you mow your lawn from a different dirrection respectively times it is better for your lawn. Is this true? And what are the benefits?
Yes I do that every now and again up and down or left to right. It is suppose to strengthen the grass. Yes, apposite advice.
I've asked this same question at the nursery where on earth i work. The guys told me if you alternate your mowing direction each time, it will produce a fuller healthier looking prairie. Now this won't fix problems already there [if any] such as bare or dry spots, but as far as adjectives problems it will help. If mowing with a tractor, they say aloud the best way is to make 5 pass around the perimeter of your yard, after go back and forth close to you normally would over the rest. Now, I'm just going on what i be told, and these guys mow for a living, so I assume they're right. I really don't think it matters what road you cut the grass, different angles are just for curb appeal. Baseball fields and golf courses other cut the same way and they own awesome grass.
Answers: Do it. It makes the grass grow thicker and more lush. It keep you from making ruts in the yard from going over and over indistinguishable exact path each time. Its newly better in every way. The grass responds to proper precision. Keep the blades sharp and your grass will always look good. Don't cut sour more than one third of it's height or that will stunt it's growth. In other words don't let it grow too large before you cut it...
