Moving and i dont want to take off my rose bushes...? I am moving in smaller amount than 30 days...I have over...

I am moving in smaller amount than 30 days...I have over 10 remarkably stable rose bushes in my posterior yard and want to hold them and have them when i move...How long can they stay contained by pots indoors? and i live in indiana where on earth it is quite cold, but the ground is not frozen.
since they are dormant, and robust, will they survive being indoors until Spring when i clear the NEW yard and replant...
someone please advise...i hold had these bushes for over 10 years, and don't want to give up your job them behind....
i can't come rear legs and get them, because i rented...so that picking is out..
Answers:    I would prune them down, dig them out & pot them (or newly wrap the roots as other posters suggested), but DON'T keep them indoors if you want them to stay dormant. You'll enjoy a better chance of them surviving the winter if they're outside but protected from freezing since nearby is a huge temp difference compared to what they're used to now - you might shock them even more bringing them inside. Do you know anyone who have a garage or shed you can store them in until you're primed for them in the spring?? Better still, if they're small adequate once you prune them back, an extra fridge to store them within would be perfect as long as you keep hold of the roots moist! I don't blame you - I'd take mine too! Good luck!!
