I got some schultz professional potting soil mix. Do I own to mix it with regular soil, or can I freshly plant the cuttings in it?

Answers:    Don't mix it next to regular soil--the potting mix *SHOULD* be sterile--the soil (unless you heat treat it) is not. And unless you own extra-ordinary soil, it will not help your adjectives at all.

Stick near the straight pre-fab soil mix.

Generally for making cuttings, you want something that drains readily. That way, you can sea frequently, letting the water run through. The foremost thing will be to prevent the foliage from drying out--unless you hold a misting system, this means keeping the foliage protected next to a plastic cover (while allowing enough circulation to prevent mold), misting frequently, and watering the soil mix regularly.

most cuttings will readily root within any professional mix as long as it is kept moist and the humidity level is elevated at the palm leaf zone. this can be achieved by misting the plant several times a light of day or watering the plant and then covering the plant and pot beside clear plastic bag. cuttings should root within several weeks.
