I'm trying to set a wedding date. I would perfer to be married surrounded by the summer around July or August because that's when the weather is the nicest here and I want it to be outside under a tent but I must own lilacs in my matrimony as they are by far my all time partiality flower. The blooming season of lilacs here in Ontario is with the sole purpose for like 2 weeks contained by May and the weather is way too unpredictible at that time to even consider have an outdoor wedding. Also, the blooming season other changes depending on the weather. Is nearby any kind of lilac that I could plant and enjoy it bloom for July or August? Or is there anywhere online that I could buy them that behind in the season or would a florist know how to get them from overseas suppliers or something?
This is a spring flowering tree/shrub, I can only suggest you switch your wedding date.
A similar looking might be the Jacaranda I reckon that is summer flowering and Hydrangea
Japanese lilac bloom toward the close of June, and have a somewhat long season, but not into August.
I really doubt supplies could win them since it's so close to the normal bloomtime, but they don't grow far plenty north.
Answers: I really abominate to be the one to say it but I'm afraid you're out of luck. I know of no lilac that blooms that overdue. Even the late blooming ones solely bloom 10 or so days later than the adjectives ones. If you were to be capable of find them available that late within the season (and I highly doubt it), they would probably be prohibitively expensive.
No lilacs bloom that behind. Even if you purchased one, usually it takes a few years to bloom anyway
