We had 6ft Leyland Cyprus trees planted 6 months ago and immediately all of them are turning brown from bottom to top.
Is this some concerned of disease or lack/over watering or something else for the tree ?
Is there anything presently I can do to save the trees ?
Answers: Lack of hose! Cut a circle about 6 inches from the trunk, remove adjectives grass, pour some "root stimulator" on the area. Watter the "hell" out of it after cover the area next to pine bark and wet the hell out of it again. The trees are in shock, they have need of root stimulation and plenty of water. Water them every afternoon till the water pools at the platform. Make sure you also spray the entire tree as this makes it reckon it is raining. Give them one full cycle. another trick is to pound a 2 inch PVC pipe into the ground about 18 inches from respectively tree and stick the hose in the pipe and slow hose down each one for partly an hour.
Your trees will be OK once they get over the shock but adjectives Cyprus trees need a right water foundation. Good luck.
This sounds close to a serious dieback problem which does happen to this species. The incentive is lack of dampen which kills part of the pack of the roots. When the rains come again those parts rot and soil funghuses seize into the plants entire system.
Sorry but my belief is that they are Ex plants.
