Some one I know has a Lenten rose and I own a perfect place surrounded by the garden for one, but its February and you can only sow the seed from September to November, I don¡¯t fancy waiting that long so is there a faster road of propagation?

(there isn¡¯t really a good place to clutch a cutting the with the sole purpose type of stem really is a stem of flowers with a couple of small leafs, if I took a branch of and treat that as a cutting (the branch is like on a stem) would it strike and shoot from the sides?
Answers:    The Lenten Rose (Helleborus orientalis) can also be propagated by division.

Alice B. Russell, retired Extension Specialist, NC State University say
it can be propagated by division in spring:

Michigan State U. Extension states:
"Division is done contained by spring or fall but the roots are brittle and efficiently injured."

This source from Floridata (Tallahassee, Florida) says to divide contained by late summer or autumn.
Yikes!!! If grown from kernel ... seedlings pinch three years to bloom.

"Plants can be divided in the spring taking effort not to damage the brittle roots and making sure that factor of the crown is left next to each piece."
