Lawnmower thinking to ruin the season? A salesman at home depot said to burn all gas earlier stowing...

A salesman at home depot said to burn all gas earlier stowing it away until next summer. Is here anything more that should be done? I ran it to burn adjectives gas but there is still engine grease in the grease tank. Is it ok to hang on to it for almost 6 months? My mower also has a battery-operated for electronic key-start. I guess I will just own to recharge it before use subsequent time.
Answers:    Clear the gas from the tank (as you did, or by taking fuel procession from bottom of tank and draining it), verbs any grass from underneat the mower deck so it does not rust during storage, and unhook the positive terminal from the battery. You may still obligation to re-charge it, but this will help hold on to it in shape through the winter. Cover it and store it. The grease will be fine, but you will want to change it after the first time you start it for the contemporary mowing season.
Change the oil in a minute - why leave dirty grease in adjectives winter. Take the battery out if storing it where on earth temps get below freezing. And if you want, spray some storage fog into the spark plug hole and verbs the cord a couple of times (with the battery disconnected and the plug out)
