I just cut the pasture and would like to put down fertilizer. My interrogate is, should I wait a few days past I do so? I'm afraid with the fresh cut grass blades that it will burn the grassland. I'm only asking because we are expecting rainfall and thought I could save on marine since the fertilizer needs it, fairly than wait and consequently run the sprinkler. Thanks for your help.
I would fertilize a short time ago before the precipitation comes. You could also put it on now and it would not hurt anything.
For me I other like to apply on a sodden grass,giving it time to dissolve.If applying a weed and feed miscellany they recommend on damp grass so the pellet will cling to leafs.
There is much controversy about weed and nurture and the use of organics.I prefer the more environmental friendly approach.Problem with applying merely before rainfall chances are it wash away with drainage.
I would apply on wetness ground evening before and river in the subsequent mourning.But that's just me.
Answers: I be a landscaper for 8 years and its always best to fertilize right after you cut the grass. if you fertilize and than cut the grass you will pick up closely of the fertilizer especially if you bag. You will not burn the grass by doing so because adjectives granular fertilizer is time released meaning it slowing breaks down over time. nurture away and if it rains contained by a day or so even better.
