I live in a hot dry state surrounded by America and I have an English lavender plant. Does anyone know how far I can cut it wager on without harm it?

Answers:    Once it has finished flowering cut it put money on to 1/2 inch above the old wood.

Here contained by the UK we can get away near cutting it backbone into the old wood.

You cut it posterior after it has finished flowering, when the seed are dry. Take the plant back until 2 inches ABOVE the brown woody stems. This give the plant the best chance of lovely unmarked growth next year.
