Landscaping Help!? I have a touch over an acre of land that I...

I have a touch over an acre of land that I will be moving on. I hold three oak trees on the property now and I want to plant a few more trees and/ or bushes to dispense it some color and shade. They also have to know how to handle the dry and humid weather of Louisiana. Any suggestions?
Answers:    Cyprus or Pine for evergreen trees. Pecans or Black Walnut for nut trees and shade. Fruitless Mulberry Trees, or Maple for basically shade.
azaelas under the oak trees would join a lot of color. Oak leaves are legally acidic and when they go down to the ground and decompose they restore tang to the soil around the oak, and azaelas love acidic soil. Just be sure to affix about 4" of palm leaf or pine straw mulch around the azaela leaving adequate room around the base for the plant to breathe. Azaelas own very shallow roots and can dry out speedily.
