3 foot Japanese maple with two biggest "trunks". One trunk has bloomed leaves almost 3 weeks ago. The other trunk is alive and green, but no leaves. Thoughts?
Answers:    If the first trunk has attractive Jap. maple will it could be the actual Maple and the other trunk could be growing from below the graft - rootstock (if grafted). If from below the graft remove.

You may have of late had caterpillar ruin - just enjoy to wait and see what happen.
It's ok, could be in stock because of the current planting. I don't know your zone, but if you live within the south, best planted where the west sun does not hit it, unless it is filter sun.
