Answers: Japanese gardens often contain several of these elements to provide a stunning & peaceful spot for contemplation:
Water, existing or symbolic.
Rocks.
A lantern, typically of stone.
A teahouse or pavilion.
A enclosure device such as a dither, fence, or wall of traditional role.
A bridge to the island, or stepping stones.

Use plants, stone & water (or pebbles to represent water)
Stones can be used to construct the garden's path, bridges, and walkways.

You don't want to spend a lot of money on your garden because you can breed use of natural elements already present. Just arrange differently them so they are in arpeggio with the intuitive surroundings around them. A Japanese garden uses rocks, water and plants to recreate nature's most charming vistas
"Rocks represent mountains and hill, water represents streams, rivers and the the deep, and the plants can represent forests and the abundance of nature".
Stone features such as lantern, water bowls and oriental statuary include a nice touch.
