Answers:    Oh yeah - you can take the oxigenator route or the chlorine route, but you inevitability to process the water to keep algae from making a pond out of your pool and stop insects from breeding within it and stop if from being "people soup" over time. The filter freshly removes some of the grit and floating debris like leaves - it will not remove algae or bad for you bacteria or such things.

Absolutely. Get some chlorine tabs, or at most minuscule some hot tub "Shock" powder, and follow the directions based on how many gallons of hose you have in the pool.
