Anything doing spectacular things?
Mine looking pretty poor. To wet and very little flowering and if it is the flowers are only a soggy mess! And the slugs are eating my marigolds. First time I've ever had a problem near marigolds. I'm devastated! Prob cause there zilch else growing to eat! lol yes the agapanthus is gorgeous- (blue) it reminds me of allium christophhi - which i couldnt find this summer but will plant bulbs in september! lots and lots of em lol
My garden was open on Sunday for the NGS and it looks a picture this year - Triteleia are basically stunning, Persicaria came out on the day, Zantedeschia by the pond are within full bloom alongside Astrantias, Astilbes, giant Scabious, giant Aruncus, Hypericum, Knautia, Ligustrum, Phormium Tenax has 6 blooms, next to the Crocosmia lucifer, next to Lychnis coronaria, Lavender, roses, nicotinia, Alliums (Christophii & Gigantium), crambe cordifolia, geraniums and an Acanthus Mollis all flowering too - it makes it adjectives worth while; am going to just sit and look at it for a few weeks now! :-) Yes, I'm growing my first crop of Scorzonera, a root vegetable that have an oyster-like taste and is considered haute cuisine by European sous chefs. I can't wait to gather and cook them. I got this idea from a friend who bought a container that be specially designed to grow them.

Salsify, a similar tasting root veggie, is next on my chronicle. Happy gardening!
