Is in that a type of clumping rattan that will grow contained by the Phoenix Arizona climate? What type is it?
What type is it?
Yes here are a couple types. Heavenly bamboo is one dwarf hotchpotch that is tangible nice.
Chris, are you here in Phoenix??? I know adjectives the best plants for this area.
Be very thrifty of what type of bamboo you take. There is only one type of rattan that is not serioulsy invasive. (unsure of its dub.) Ask a nursery/ bonsai gardner.
Most types of bamboo will spread deeply fast and agressively. It will verbs fences and cart over planters. Not to mention if and when you want to get rid of it, you must achieve ALL- EVERY last piece of it or it will come support.
Think twice about planting it subsequent to a house or fence...
The single way to maintain it in check is to plant it within an elevated planter (so you can see if it trys to root) Even then, most times the roots will grow so tightly it will explode the planter box.
I hold found it usually more trouble than it is worth... too much upkeep.
look for another fern type of plant (tree fern) to give similar effect minus the hassle of bamboo
