Hi we bought a house a couple years ago, we were told that a couple owners up to that time us had beautifull rose bushes contained by the front yard. Well this is the first time I hold saw something in the courtyard that resembled a rose bush. We just come back from Vacation and because we hadn't mowed I be able to spot these plants (we enjoy about 6 spaced roughly 6' or 10' apart in a straight flash in the front yard). I plan on letting them grow to see what they will look approaching. What suprises me is that if they are indeed Roses.Iv'e been mowing over them the ending 5 years! And there still coming hindmost? But Thank You for at least taking the time to look at the picture & answering! It is greatly appreciated!

Answers:    They are conspicuously roses. Weed the grass out of them and put mulch around them. They need closely of water. One gallon per plant per year. You will have fine roses.
Because of the rain this spring, I get two roses back that have been late for five years.
Mowing didn't hurt them because they like to be cut put money on hard within the fall.
Those do, indeed look close to rose bushes. You may be disappointed if what is growing is the stock a hybrid was graft to, but it is sure worth finding out. And you may be happily surprised.
