I've found a really pretty shrub growing wild which smells strongly of Magnolia. I assume it is a variety of Magonlia however when I've tried to determine which assortment so I can find out which type of cutting to take I can't find any pictures/desc which vaguley resemble this shrub.
The flowers are within clusters and a pretty lemon yellow in colour near faint pink vains, each flower is shaped close to a trumpet with the stamen protruding. The buds are green at the base and fuschia pink at the tip, as they develop the pink fade and the green turns yellow before slit. The cluster are of up to a dozen flowers which appear to open in slow succession. The stems of the plant are tinged fuschia and the leaves smooth and waxy, the lone part that looks anything like the pictures I've found! I have thought it may be a magnolia elizabeth but have since found a pic on internet and it's nothing approaching that.
I have now taken numerous semi ripe cuttings but would still similar to to identify the plant!
Answers: This sounds like the honeysuckle I have growing within the back of out property, if I have be asked what kind of bush it is. It is a highly fragrant vine i.e. growing on a old rose bush.
