I had the model to use old report papers as a weed barrier within my vegetable garden. I checked with my local treatise and they print with a petroleum base black ink that I don't want to use in my garden. I hold access to old New York Times and Wall Street Journals at work. Some one told me that they thought the New York Times be printed with soy base ink. I checked their website and Googled it, but couldn't find out for sure.
Answers: Here is a site that says that the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) and Barron's black and color inks are soy base. Scroll down to just bygone the first bar graph and the statement is going on for in the middle of the paragraph. http://www.dowjones.com/TheCompany/Corpo... I couldn't find anything for the New York Times.
