Answers:    A tree called Cytisus battandieri or Morocan Broom is sometimes call a Pineapple Tree. This plant is not related at all to an actual pineapple plant. It is more closely related to the pea type plants (Leguminaceae)

The pineapple plant from which we go and get the pineapple fruit is a bromiliad (ananas comosus).
