Is it possible to grown blueberries in Central Arizona?
If so when to plant and what giving? Can they survive the heat and cold of Phoenix and Tucson?
Answers: No. Your soil and wet is way toooo alkaline. Blueberries involve acidic soil. Sure you could trade name an acidic soil, but the process would release so much saline, the soil would be toxic to the plants plus the water is alkaline.
Maybe strawberries surrounded by the winter...maybe. Contact the Maricopa Cooperative Extension Service, probably they have some printed textile (or even web material) on growing fruits surrounded by Central AZ.
