I'm looking at moving about 11 cubic yards of rock (or something like 15 tons) into a back yard near no skidsteer/loader access.
keep hydrated! yes you can but its alot of work. got friends to serve maybe with an extra whelbarrow//?"

I moved 2 tons of river rock with with the sole purpose a wheelbarrow in one day. If you can lift up the rock, you can move it. It may take a long time, you may get sore, but you can do it. Take frequent breaks, drink to replace what you sweat out, and embezzle your time. It's not worth a heart attack or heat stroke just to draw from the job done in a hurry.

I should give that I shouldn't have hurried as much as I did. I was extremely sore for a few days after. If I would hold spread the work out I would have been better bad.
Answers:    that is so funny!

we moved tons of river rock from the front yard where on earth the quarry left it, to the backyard 8 years ago when building a pond. we popped the tire on a brand fresh heavy duty ace hardware wheel barrow bought for that purpose.

only just go at it very discreetly.

would be better if you could get help from others who own 'barrows, too. possibly you can trade help/chores with the neighbors
You will be looking at about 100 trips of a 300lb loaded reins barrow.but it is possible. People have done this for many years prior to the invention of the skid steer loader.

Have fun and tread yourself!
It's a lot of work but it can and has be done. I dug out nearly that much rock and dirt when laying a patio as I needed to keep hold of the finished patio at the same smooth. Then had to wheel barrow contained by the bedding sand. Did that for two patios, in reality. One behind and one at the side of the house. A lot of back breaking labor and consider that's what tore my rotator cuff. And by the way that wheel barrow, within Texas, is sometimes referred to as a Mexican dragline. Well, you'll be busy for a long time!! Do you have any friends that can help...throw a BBQ afterwards?

Closest article I can find is one man can excavate 6 yds of soil in 8 hours if it is just thrown to the side. You enjoy the wheel barrow and transport time. You need to tag on 4 minutes for every load/wheel/dump/return per 100 feet traveled.
